Balloon Process

MATERIALS NEEDED: 
  • Mylar Balloons
  • Scissors
  • Screwdriver
  • String
  • Weights
*Scissors, screwdriver, string and weights are located in the white basket that is on the shelf by the helium tank. The balloons are next to the basket.
1. CUT STRING:
Cut string approximately the length of 1 yard or longer. Use your judgment.
2. OPEN VALVE: 
Open valve on helium tank.
3. TEST NOZZLE:
Test the black nozzle by pressing down on it to listen for air escape.
4. OPEN FLAP:
Use the screwdriver to open the flap on the balloon. This flap is located on the flap with the red button at the top of the balloon.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT pull on or pull off the red button flap on the balloon. The red button flap is what seals the balloon shut so the air does not escape!
5. HALF MOON FLAP:
Place the screwdriver on top of the red button flap to locate the flap opening that looks like a half moon. (This flap is clear and difficult to see.)
6. INSERT SCREWDRIVER:
Carefully and gently insert the screwdriver about 1/2″ down the flap opening to open up the sealed area. Remove the screwdriver.
7. ATTACH BALLOON TO NOZZLE:
Attach the balloon to the nozzle using the same flap opening that was made using the screwdriver.
8. INFLATE BALLOON:
Inflate the balloon with air by pressing down on the black nozzle.
9. SEAL BALLOON:
Press down on the red button flap to seal the balloon.
10. ATTACH STRING:
Attach the string to the hole on the balloon.
11. ATTACH BALLOON TO WEIGHT:
Attach two balloons to one weight.
12. BALLOONS ON CHECK-IN CART:
Put one set of two balloons on each check-in cart.
13. CLOSE VALVE:
After inflating the last balloon, close the valve on the helium tank.
14. RELEASE AIR:
Press down on the black nozzle to release any air.
